The Riverview is a large, upscale banquet facility with seating for up to 650 guests. During our busy season, we typically host eight events every weekend, starting on Friday night.

Our Maintenance & Set-Up team is the key “behind the scenes” crew that makes all these events happen smoothly and seamlessly. From setting up tables and polishing silverware, to performing regular maintenance like painting and cleaning, this team is like the pit crew for a formula one racing team. It can be fast paced, but the reward comes from seeing a great event go off without a hitch.

If you haven’t worked in a similar role (we are open to people who don’t have industry experience), you’ll need to be high energy and comfortable spending the day on your feet staging rooms, fixing problems, and sometimes helping customers. It’s a great way to see if the hospitality industry is for you.

Whether you are in school to be a cook or a recent graduate, this position is a great way to kick start your career. Kitchen experience is helpful, but what we really need are outstanding team players who share our passion for serving customers and preparing great food.

Built in 2008, the Riverview is a large, upscale banquet facility with seating for up to 650 guests. We can host two events at a time, and during our busy season, we typically host eight events every weekend. With its location directly on the Farmington River, the Riverview has very quickly become the area’s top destination for private, elegant gala events. The custom designed, purpose-built building is the newest addition to a family of facilities that have been proudly hosting elegant events since 1986. Our three other Connecticut venues include the Waterview, which opened in 2003, Candlewood Inn, which opened in 1997, and Fox Hill Inn, which opened in 1986.

While each facility has its own distinct and sophisticated design, the commitment by management and staff to the highest level of quality is our standard at every location. This is proven by the long-standing reputation for excellence we’ve earned through more than 20 years of experience in the banquet business.
